General Election Assembly

The first round will take place on October 25, 2025.

The second round, if necessary, will take place on November 8, 2025.

The second round takes place when no list obtains more than 50% of the valid votes for the body in question. In this situation, only the two lists with the most votes will compete.

Members who meet the following criteria are eligible to vote:

• Are 18 years of age or older on the day of the election;;
• Have been members for at least one year;
• Are up-to-date with their membership fees (minimum fee for August 2025 for the first round and September 2025 for the second round);
• Are listed in the electoral register, closed on September 25, 2025.

Members must present the following documents:

• Membership card, in physical or digital format (via the SLB App);
• Photo ID, in physical or digital format (via the gov.pt App);

5 to 10 years | 10 votes
10 to 25 years | 20 votes
25 years or more | 50 votes

Corresponding Members with 25 or more years of membership are also entitled to 50 votes, in accordance with the current Statutes.

Yes. In 2025, members are allowed to vote at any polling station in the world, regardless of their place of residence. You can see the polling stations here, distributed across the districts of Portugal, the islands, locations in Europe, and outside Europe.

Voting will take place between 8:30 am and 10:00 pm in mainland Portugal. In the remaining regions, the following local times apply:

The General Assembly Board, the Management Board, the Supervisory Board, and the Remuneration Committee will be voted on (the Remuneration Committee applies only to lists that are candidates for all Governing Bodies).

When going to a polling station, members receive four ballot papers, corresponding to the governing bodies up for election and in proportion to the number of votes to which they are entitled, in accordance with the Statutes.
Each ballot paper has a different color, identifying the respective body:

• General Assembly Board
• Management Board
• Audit Committee
• Remuneration Committee

Members must go to the voting booth to mark their choice on each ballot paper and then deposit the four ballot papers in the ballot box corresponding to their number of votes.

Yes. Polling stations will be clearly marked, in accordance with Decree-Law No. 58/2016, which establishes the obligation to provide priority service.

Membership fees must be paid up to 48 hours before the election, i.e., by October 23, 2025, for the first round.
In the event of a second round, membership fees may be paid up until November 6, 2025.

No. Payments made after October 23, 2025, will not be valid for the first round of elections. Members will only be able to vote in the second round, if it takes place, on November 8, 2025.

The vote is considered invalid. A ballot paper without any markings corresponds to a blank vote.

Yes. Members with visual impairments may be accompanied by a person of their choice, upon presentation of medical proof, where applicable.

Each polling station counts the valid, blank, and invalid votes, draws up the respective signed minutes, and sends them to the General Assembly Board, which is located at the headquarters in Lisbon.

Yes. A recount may be requested by the representative of a list, upon written justification. The operation is conducted by the President of the polling station, in the presence of the representatives of the various lists, the Secretary, and Multicert employees.

The General Assembly Board officially announces and publishes the results at the Club's headquarters and on its website.

The proclamation of those elected is made immediately after the final count by the Chairman of the General Assembly.

The ballots are placed in a special bag, sealed, and transported by Multicert to its headquarters in Lisbon, where they are stored until the end of the legal period for contesting the results.
