Benfica's women's football and futsal teams were honored with several distinctions at the Champions Gala, an event where President Rui Costa was also present and reinforced the Club's strong commitment to women, on Monday, November 27. The Reds' football won the following awards in 2023: Merit Award | Performance in UEFA Competitions; Best Coach (Filipa Patão); Breakthrough Player (Francisca Nazareth); Best Player (Cloé Lacasse); and Best XI (Carole Costa, Lúcia Alves, Catarina Amado, Laís Araújo, Andreia Norton, Marie Alidou, Francisca Nazareth and Cloé Lacasse). In women's futsal, Benfica won the following honors: Best Coach (Alex Pinto); Best Player (Janice Silva); and Best 5 (Ana Catarina, Inês Fernandes and Janice Silva).
