Martin Chrien signs for five years

Martin Chrien, 21 years old (08/09/1995), arrives at Sport Lisboa e Benfica after the U21 European Cup held in Poland, being one of the best players in the competition, scoring 2 goals in 3 matches.

“I fell fantastic. Benfica a big Club, very big in Portugal and in the world. I'm very happy”, he started to say to BTV.

“Benfica is the best Club for young players. The stadium is great and I know that the supporters are fantastic”, he added.

Trained in Dukla, his debut in the first team was in 2012/13, where he was until 2014, playing 15 matches and scoring 5 goals. He signed with Viktoria Plzen but went to Ceské Bujéjovice, on loan, where he remained just for eight matches, in 2014/2015.

New season and new loan, this turn to Zbrojovka Brono, where he was able to get some experience in the first league, with 24 matches and 3 goals.

On the following season, 2016/2017, it was his moment. After playing for Ruzomberok in the first half of the season, scoring 5 goals in 17 matches, he came back to Viktoria Plzen, where he played 5 matches.

Now he arrives at Benfica and he is decided to attack the fifth championship in a row. “I want to play in this stadium and win trophies”, he wished.

“I know Luisão, who is a leader, a captain and a legend. I know Jonas, a great striker, and also Pizzi”, he concluded.
