Salvio: “I want to help with assists and goals”

Salvio opened the scoring at Estádio Municipal de Braga and, at the end of the win (1-3) against SC Braga, he was happy and highlighted that one will have to factor in Benfica until the end of Liga NOS.

“I'm very happy for the win. We came here looking for the win and now we must continue like this. We did a good first half, we could have scored another goal. In the second half, we knew that SC Braga was going to react and we were prepared for that. SC Braga has a strong team, they play well, they have good players. We could have killed off the match in Raúl's[Jiménez] opportunity. It was there but we had the reward later”, he said.

Benfica entered the game on the front foot and scored an early goal. The Argentinian explained why that happened forte.

“In the early minutes, we were studying the opponent. We analyzed the rival's lines, we pressured high and we scored the first goal in a quick play. We did a great job”, he praised.

Salvio helped the team with another goal, but the most important is the team.

“It is always important to score, but what matters is the win. To score goals is something I always want to do, I want to be a winger which helps with assists and goals”, he highlighted.
