The Basketball team of SL Benfica won this Sunday its 6th Hugo dos Santos Cup, after beating Oliveirense, in the big final of the IX edition of the competition, by 99-85.

After winning the Super Cup, here's the second official Trophy of the season… another one to further enrich the unforgettable history of the Department!

Festejos

A weekend with the attention focused on the Pavilhão Multiusos de Sines, where were present the four best-ranked teams in the LPB: SL Benfica, Oliveirense, FC Porto and V. Guimarães.

After beating V. Guimarães (81-75) in the semifinal held on Saturday, today it was time to lock horns with the team from Oliveira de Azeméis, who yesterday had eliminated FC Porto (84-78).

Festejos

Raven Barber was elected the MVP of the encounter: a brilliant performance, with 15 points, one assist and 7 rebounds.

José Ricardo fielded the following starting five: Nuno Oliveira, João Soares, José Silva, Raven Barber and Antywane Robinson.

This Sunday, May 4, Benfica Campus' Field No. 1 was the stage for celebrating the 26th national Under-19 title. Needing just one point to celebrate, Benfica's U19 team became champions after a 2-2 draw against FC Porto in round 13 of the championship round, and lifted the trophy on the pitch, celebrating afterward with the fans who were tireless in their support for Luís Araújo's team.
