Tsanko Arnaudov beats the Shot Put national record

The Benfica athlete sets in 21,27 meters a record that already belonged to him. The new best mark in Indoor Athletics was reached in the National Championship which took place in Pombal.

The Benfica athlete, Tsanko Arnaudov, beat the Shot Put Indoor national record. The new mark was set at 21,27 meters.

In Pombal, in the National Championships, Tsanko Arnaudov outperformed the competition, winning the Shot Put event.

“It went in the best way possible. The goal was to guarantee the eight points for the team and I did it. The second goal was to throw as far as possible and I achieved the national record. It is already the seventh event I do this year, I went through several warm-up throws, I worked hard to go from the warm-up to the competition and I did it. I get more confident, not only for the record but also for the sequence of throws around the 21 meters. It is the first Indoor season in which I do so many throws above 20 meters. I leave this event with a lot of confidence”, he said.
