Diogo Miguel Aguilar Cardoso penned this Friday a professional contract with Sport Lisboa e Benfica until 2021. A renewed commitment to the Club that hosted him five seasons ago.

After Luís Lopes, Henrique Pereira, Filipe Cruz, Paulo Bernardo and Rafael Rodrigues, was Diogo Cardoso's turn. Born on February 20th, 2002, the forward represents this season the U-17 B team, being the top scorer of the team, with 19 goals scored in 17 matches.

Coming from CR Instrução, he arrived at Benfica in 2013/2014. Three seasons later (2016/2017), he became U-15 National Champion, having played 21 matches with a total of 19 goals scored.

This season he made his debut for the National Teams and he has three caps for the U-16.
