Benfica has the top scorer of the Liga NOS (Jonas, with three dozen accurate strikes) and, in another indicator that all players count and are relevant towards the final goal, it is also the team that has more goals distributed through the squad. In total, 15 footballers have already scored in the competition in 2017/18.

With the goal scored in the home match against Marítimo (5-0), Grimaldo became the 15th Benfica player who has scored in the Liga NOS this season.

At 22’ of the encounter, Grimaldo put his name on the eagles' list of goal scorers in the competition, already formed by Jonas (30 goals), Salvio (7), Pizzi (5), Seferovic (4), Raúl (3), Zivkovic (3), Cervi (3), Rúben Dias (2), Jardel (2), André Almeida (2), Samaris (1), Rafa (1), Krovinovic (1) and Luisão (1). Beyond that, there is also an own goal from the Boavista player Henrique.

This is Benfica that feed on goals from the entire group that has already scored 67 times since the start of the season – an average of 2,7 goals per match. It Jonas who gave, quantitatively, the greatest contribution but in Rui Vitória's team all players are important in these figures.

But above Benfica in this list, there is another team. The ranking of teams who have more goals distributed through the squad is topped by Desportivo das Aves, Saturday's opponent in the match from Gameweek 26 of the 1st Division.

The team from Vila das Aves has 17 players who have already scored in the Championship this season. Paulo Machado leads the list with four goals, he who arrived in 2017/18 at José Mota's team coming from Dinamo Zagreb.

And if for Benfica all players count, the same can be said for the supporters... On Saturday, it is expected a Red Tide at Estádio da Luz. The tickets are on sale.
