Fernando Pimenta and Joana Vasconcelos win the Portuguese Cup

The two Benfica canoeists were the first to cross the finish line in the event that took place in Montemor-o-Velho this weekend.

The canoeists of Benfica, Fernando Pimenta and Joana Vasconcelos, were the big winners of the In-Line Race Portuguese Cup that took place this weekend in Montemor-o-Velho.

Fernando Pimenta won the first competition as a Benfica athlete by being the first to cross the finish line in the K1 1000 meters and K1 500 meters races. Close behind the winner, in both events, finished his teammate, João Ribeiro.

In the women's event, Joana Vasconcelos was the fastest in K1 500 meters and K1 200 meters. In both races, she surpassed her teammate, Teresa Portela, who finished second.
