Appearing calm about the situation Benfica faces, Trubin set his sights on winning three points against Newcastle on matchday 4 of the Champions League.

Trubin
How does the team feel about this game, considering that it has yet to earn any points at this stage of the competition? Do they feel pressure to win?
I don't think so, but we're in the Champions League. There's always a huge responsibility, enormous pressure, but at this level you have to deal with that, and tomorrow [Tuesday] give everything to win.
How would you assess the team's defensive development? In what areas does the team need to improve the most?
I think that, overall, we just need time, because since the coach arrived, we haven't had much time to work, but I see a lot of good things every day. All the players are improving individually, and as a team too. It's a long road, but we work every day.
Do you consider this a decisive game in the Champions League? How do you deal with competition from Samuel Soares, who played in the last game [against Chaves, counting for the Portuguese Cup]? I believe Trubin will start against Newcastle—probably, yes. How do you deal with that?
There are no easy games in the Champions League. Every game is very important for us. If we're talking about competition between us [Trubin and Samuel Soares], it's good for both of us and also for the team. Because every day we have to give our all, give 100% in training and in games. I don't see any problem. I just have to prove myself, Samuel will do the same. It's good for the team.
Does José Mourinho ask different things of you in your play from the goal?
Every coach has their own vision of the game. So, I see some changes, some differences, but for me, it's good to learn new things.
After the last game, what did the coach say to the team?
[José Mourinho replies: “Nothing.”] That we need to win this game, nothing special [smiles].
What has Sudakov told you about his first few months at Benfica?
First, he says he is very happy because he has joined the best club in Portugal and one of the best in Europe. He also says that the level is more difficult than before. So, he is very happy and wants to give his all for this club. Of course, sometimes he asks me for help. In that sense, I can help him and make his adaptation easier.
