Canoeing
After the Gold and Silver medals at the World Championship, the canoeist already points to the European and World Championships, the second one to be held in our Country.
21 May 2018, 15h33
“I managed to win two Gold medals and a Silver medal at the World Championships, with excellent participations and good indications for the coming events: The European Championship, to be held in three weeks, and the World Championship, which will take place in the summer, here in Portugal. It was amazing, no doubt. It felt so good to win these three medals in 24 hours”, he said.
Fernando Pimenta is clearly pleased with his physical shape and believes that he is on the right way to win more medals…
“I am in a moment that I already have lots of consistency in the results and in the performance. Now I got to keep working on the aspects which I can improve in order to achieve the goals, reaching the finals and winning medals at the European and World Championships”, he declared.
At Benfica since May, the athlete admits to be happy with his first times with the red shirt...
“It is a very nostalgic moment for me. I’m at the club just for a while, but I have always followed the Club, because I’m a Benfiquista since I was a boy. Now I have to keep working to dignify the national colors and the Benfica’s symbol”, he concluded.
