Salvio is among the 23 players whom are going the 2018 World Cup, in Russia. The call-up was announced this Monday by Jorge Sampaoli.

The red winger has been an important player in Rui Vitória’s team and keeps deserving Sampaoli’s trust, as it was seen already in the provisional list of Argentina

At Benfica, Salvio is one of the oldest in squad and still delights us with high and intense performances. In 2017/18 – and in spite of being injured for two months – he played a total of 34 matches (2281 minutes) and, in what concerns to Liga NOS, scored nine goals and assisted four times.

Who also has the ticket for the World Cup is Rúben Dias, who was called-up by Fernando Santos, while Raúl (Mexico), Zivkovic (Serbia), Seferovic (Switzerland) and Ebuehi (Nigeria) still wait for confirmation.
