Women's Roller Hockey is Six-time National Champion!

The women's roller hockey team of Benfica became this Tuesday Six-time National Champion after beating CACO by 4-1, at Pavilhão Fidelidade, in a match from Round 11 of the final phase.

With this result, Benfica has 11 victories in 11 matches, 33 points and adds the title of 2017/18 to the ones won in 2012/13, 2013/14, 2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17.  

The next encounter of the eagles will be in Vila Boa do Bispo, on June 2nd.

Paulo Almeida: “Thanks to all these people”

The coach of Benfica's roller hockey coach was happy at the end of the match against CACO and thanked the entire structure in the conquest of the Sixth consecutive league title.

“Without these people nothing is gained. From Mr. Armando, who takes care of the kits and the roller skates, to Meireles, who is the president of the department, to Almeida Lima, the board of Benfica, Rita Martins who gave birth and who, surely, watch the match at home. Next year we will be here again, but it is not over yet. There are still three matches left until the end of the championship, I want to win the three games and I want to win the final four of the Portuguese Cup. Thanks to all these people”, he said in statement to BTV.
