Tyronne Ebuehi, Benfica's right-back, joined the 23-list of Nigeria for the 2018 Russia World Cup. The call-up was announced this Sunday by the national coach Gernot Rohr.
The 22-year old defender signed a 5-year contract with Benfica and now represents the Nigerian national team in his first World Cup.
Ebuehi, counts with six caps and his debut was in 2017 in a friendly match against Togo.
On Saturday (June 2), the benfiquista was one of the elected by Gernot Rohr to perform against England, where Nigeria was defeated 2-1. Ebuehi started on the bench, but was called on the second half.
