Nuno Tavares renews contract
The recent U-19 National Champion will continue with Benfica until 2023.

Nuno Tavares, 18-year old left-back (26.01.2000), has extended contract with Sport Lisboa e Benfica until 2023.
Element of the Benfiquista squad which, in the last season (2017/18), won the U19 National Championship, Nuno Tavares represents the Club for three years.
"I fell very happy. It was a tiring season, but, with a big effort, we achieved the collective objectives and I always managed to achieve my personal goals. I have a lot to demonstrate, my evolution is not completed yet, I have all these years in front of me to grow", assumed Nuno Tavares to BTV. "I obviously want to reach the first team, just like all my teammates and I work every day for that", he said.
With the U19 team, Nuno Tavares participated in 26 matches of the 2017/18 National Championship and scored once against V. Setúbal, on February 18. He was a starter in every match of the final stage
The left-footed counts, until now, with five caps in the U18 National Team, all of them during the last season.
