Benfica starts the season on Thursday

With eyes set on winning back the National Title, Benfica starts the 2018/19 season this Thursday, at 9:00 am, at Estádio da Luz.

The tasks, scheduled for early in the morning, start with the usual medicals, divided between the Estádio da Luz and the Hospital da Luz. These medical tests follow the ones that began on Monday, June 25.

At 5:00 pm, the ball will already roll under the close look of the coach, Rui Vitória. The first training session will take place at Estádio da Luz and will be held behind closed doors.

2018/19 PRE-SEASON CALENDAR 

• June 28: start of the preseason work, at the Estádio da Luz.
• July 9: start of the training camp in Tróia.
• July 10: friendly match against Napredak, at the Estádio do Bonfim.
• July 13: friendly match against Vitória de Setúbal, at the Estádio do Bonfim.
• From July 15 to 20: training camp at the St. George's Park, England.
• July 21: start of the International Champions Cup. Match against Sevilla, in Zurich (Switzerland).
• July 22: trip to the United States.
• July 25: match against Borussia Dortmund (International Champions Cup), in Pittsburg.
• July 28: match against Juventus (International Champions Cup), in New York. Return to Lisbon.
