Great excitement at Pavilhão Municipal de Almada for the 2017/18 Portuguese Super Cup, between Sport Lisboa e Benfica, National Champion, and SC Espinho, the Portuguese Cup winner.
After a 2-2 draw in the first four sets, the match went to the final decision, and was decided by details, as the opponent SC Espinho managed to get the victory by 11-15 and a final 2-3.
With this result, the team commanded by José Jardim misses its 7th title in a row.
Benfica’s line-up: André Lopes, Hugo Gaspar, Miroslav Gradinarov, Filip Cveticanin, Zelão, Tiago Violas y Ivo Casas.
The National Championship starts next week.
