“The President has an always diferentiated vision”

The CEO of Sport Lisboa e Benfica, Futebol – SAD, Domingos Soares de Oliveira, gave an interview to BTV on the day of the 14^th anniversary of Estádio da Luz.

The executive acknowledged the importance of Luís Filipe Vieira in the success of this project and showed pride in the work that everyone can see.

“He is a person who always thinks more in emotional terms. If we analyze the strategy of Benfica for 10 years, the president has an always differentiated view. We think about what we can implement and he has the dream’s vision. That dream was what guided him throughout his life. He dreams he can take three steps and he always takes one more than the average person. That’s one of his characteristics”, he said.

At 14, the Cathedral has lived many moments, some good, some less good, but all unforgettable. Between titles and victories in the last second, highlight for the Champions League final and the 7 Wonders of the World ceremony.

“If we look at the stadium today, cwith 14 years, it looks brand new; if we remember the changes it has undergone… TWe had the Champions League final here in 2014 and UEFA was worried about the sound system, they asked for one and Luís Filipe Vieira said that what existed was the same as our supporters have. It is this way of thinking that has taken us much further.Whoever looks at the stadium prealizes that the paintings remain new, the structure as well. Inside, the stadium is prepared to receive increasingly more companies. This transformation will continue for at least more 14 years”, stated Domingos Soares de Oliveira.
