José Mourinho, Manchester United's coach, recognized that the result was unfair for  Benfica, in accordance with the team's performance at the Old Trafford.

“It's a heavy result for Benfica, that was very well and could have scored, which would increase the difficulty for my team”, said before admitting that they were fortunate on how they scored the first one. “We missed a penalty very early, but we were happy with the goal we scored”, he added.

“On the second half, Benfica was good and strong, what made me change the team, to become more compact, solid and strong. To have more pressure capacity in the midfield, I added Herrera, to Matic and McTominay", said Mourinho.

About the Benfica's chances to qualify...

 “If Benfica could take advantage of our results and manage to get the qualification with six points, great. If not, may them reach the Europe League. I keep saying that it was the most difficult team for us."
