Benfica said farewell to the Portuguese Cup this Wednesday after the defeat at Vila do Conde, against Rio Ave, by 3-2, after extra-time. Jonas and Luisão scored for the eagles; Rúben Ribeiro, Lionn and Guedes scored the goals of Rio Ave.

At the end of the match, in the flash interview, Krovinovic analyze the encounter.

“It was a hard match. We knew that Rio Ave was a good opponent. We started very well in the first half and we did a great match. Rio Ave started better in the second half and scored twice in a row. We fought, reacted and went to the extra-time, which was also difficult. We gave everything but it was Rio Ave to win”, declared the Croatian midfielder.

When asked about the eventual damaged caused by the early elimination from the Champions League and the Portuguese Cup, the player was adamant.

“It's a part of football, now we got to focus both on the Champions League and League Cup”, finished Krovinovic.
