After clinching the three points in the derby played away at Sporting, the Chairman of Benfica Presidente do Benfica thanked the fans for the vibrant and passionate way they supported the team from start to finish of round 20 of the Liga NOS.

"We are immensely grateful for the way the fans supported and applauded the team. This is a Benfica that does not bow down, that day by day builds its future. I say this to the Benfica fans: you must believe, because a new Benfica ins being born, with its own identity. It was just another match. One training session at a time, match by match, we will surely reach the objective. No one will break us", claimed Luís Filipe Vieira in the mixed zone of Estádio José Alvalade.
