The Benfica António Leitão Race already has a date. Dulce Félix, Samuel Barata and Beatriz Mendes will head the 14th edition of the event, scheduled for April 7.

It is already a tradition at Sport Lisboa e Benfica and also in the athletics panorama and in national sports. A 10km race, with a passage through the interior of Estádio da Luz.

This will be another tribute to the man who won the bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles, back in 1984, the first Benfica’s athlete to get an Olympic medal.

“He will remain in Benfica’s History forever. It is the day we go to enjoy our sport and take the opportunity to honor our beloved Leitão, who will be forever in our memory”, said Dulce Félix, to BTV.

On the day before, April 6, as usual, the Kids Race will also take place.
