A historic moment! The first derby ever between the first squads of SL Benfica and Sporting CP in women's football will take place on March 30, at Estádio do Restelo (4:00 pm). All net revenue goes to aid to Mozambique, who faces a catastrophe. The tickets for the match will have the price of 2,5 euros and will be on sale as of Tuesday at the Ticket Offices of Estádio da Luz.

Luís Filipe Vieira, Chairman of Sport Lisboa e Benfica, called for a strong mobilization of the supporters.

"The fact that the first derby between the first squad of women's football from two institutions with the history and dimension of Sport Lisboa e Benfica e Sporting Clube de Portugal is associated with a cause with this dimension, in one of the most difficult moments that people of Mozambique is going through, dignifies all the entities who are involved in this initiative. All the aid to Mozambique will not be enough and I call for a strong mobilization around a match that I am sure that will remain forever as an exemplary gesture”, claimed the Chairman of the Club.

Liga BPI | Cristina Prieto receives trophy for Best Player

Elected Best Player of the Liga BPI 2024/25 in the vote organized by the Players' Union, Cristina Prieto, Benfica's women's football team, received the trophy at Benfica Campus. Grateful for the distinction, the Spanish international told BTV about her “good season” and didn't forget the rest of the Reds' players. "It's an individual award and I couldn't have won it without my teammates. It was the team that made me win this award," said the goalscorer, who is in her first season at the club. "You never think the first year will be like this. I'd like to thank everyone who voted for me and the Benfiquistas. It's an award that shows that the season went well," said Cristina Prieto, an important element in winning the Fifth League Title in a row.

Pavlidis reached his 50th appearance for Benfica's professional football team in the 1-2 over Estoril, on matchday 32 of the Liga Betclic, on May 3. The Greek international, signed at the start of the 2024/25 season, has 28 goals and 10 assists in the games he has played, in around 3,290 minutes of use. The No14 has 32 games and 18 goals in the Liga Betclic, 12 games and 7 goals in the Champions League, 3 games and 1 goal in the Portuguese Cup, as well as 3 games and 2 goals in the League Cup.
