He scored Benfica's fourth goal in the win over Eintracht Frankfurt (4-2) in the game from the 1st leg of the Europa League quarterfinals, making his scoring debut in the European competitions.

“It was a good match against a very strong team that had not lost in a long time. We managed to cancel them out. Of course it was an important win for us, we could have clinched a bigger lead for the away match [Germany], but, even so, we got a good result. But all is still up for grabs. We played the first half, but the second is still left to play”, remembered the centre-back from Benfica.

“I chance of helping the team with a goal, it was important, in a moment that also was important. I'm happy, but the focus is on the team, on the important result at home.  Now we must rest and think about the Championship”, claimed the 21-year-old defender.
