At a time when we are getting closer and closer to finding out the 2018/19 National Champion, Benfica is the club, among the leaders from Europe’s top 7 leagues, with the best point average in away matches.

Since August 18 – the trip to Bessa on matchday 2 of the competition –, Benfica has played 16 times as the away team: Boavista, Nacional, Chaves, Belenenses SAD, Tondela, V. Setúbal, Marítimo, Portimonense, Santa Clara, V. Guimarães, Sporting, Desportivo das Aves, FC Porto, Moreirense, Feirense and SC Braga.

With 13 wins, one draw and two losses, the red squad have racked up, ahead of the last game of the season as the away team, 40 points. Benfica has an average of 2,50 points per game, more than any other leader of the seven major European leagues (Portugal, Italy, England, Germany, Spain, France and Russia).
