Rafa: "We have a lot of quality"

The Benfica squad now prepares itself in the United States with the objective of starting the 2018/19 in the best way possible. The official debut is scheduled for 8 pm on August 7 at the Estádio da Luz, against Fenerbahçe, the Eagles’ opponent in the 3rd qualifying round of the Champions League.

Benfica’s next friendly match, against Borussia Dortmund, within the International Champions Cup, is viewed by Rafa as another good test.

"The match against Dortmund is like every other match we played so far with different teams, but that also created difficulties. We are here to work and to be ready for the first official", analyzed Rafa, speaking about the clash scheduled for 01:05 am on Thursday (8:05 pm in Pittsburgh).

“All test will be difficult. All teams will create different difficulties for us. We are going to face this match like the others, to win", completed the Portuguese international.

"I feel that the team in good shape. We have been building a good group with the new elements. It is important to create a good environment, starting now with victories, which has been happening, and continue the good work", added the forward of Benfica.

Rafa highlighted the quality of the group: "Every year we have been having strong squads, with a big competition in the different positions. This year it will be no different, we have a lot of quality, which is important."
