The Italian Gianluca Rocchi, aged 45, was appointed by UEFA Referees Committee to whistle Benfica-Ajax, a match scheduled for 8 pm on Wednesday at Estádio da Luz, a clash inserted in matchday 4 from the Champions League Group E.

International since 2008, Gianluca Rocchi will have the Italians Elenito Di Liberatore and Matteo Passeri as assistants. The additional assistants are Luca Banti and Marco Di Bello. Stefano Alassio (ITA) will be in the role of the fourth official.
