Krovinovic: We are still in the fight”


In Montalegre, Benfica amassed the sixth consecutive win and won the passport to the Portuguese Cup quarter-finals.

Benfica took a step forward in the Portuguese Cup after beating Montalegre by 0-1 on Wednesday evening and amassed the sixth consecutive win. A “well-deserved win” according to Krovinovic.  

“It was an important win, we knew that Montalegre is an opponent that knows how to play, in a difficult pitch, but it is a well-deserved win and now we just look ahead”, guaranteed the Benfica midfielder in the flash interview area.

After another win  the sixth consecutive win without conceding goals, the Reds will find out, on Friday, the opponent in the quarter-finals, a tie for which other seven teams are qualified.

“We went through to the next round, no we are waiting for the next opponent. We are still in the fight. This was the sixth consecutive match that we won and I hope we continue like this”, wished the 23-year-old Croatian player, who featured in the starting XI in Montalegre.
