The former Benfica player Keaton Parks took advantage of the first team's stay in New Jersey and stopped by the hotel where the eagles are staying to see his old teammates.

The men under Bruno Lage were surprised and happy to see the center-midfielder who now plays at New York City FC.

Keaton Parks represented the "Clube da Luz" in the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons, with 45 matches for the B team and six for the first team.

Benfica fought until the end for a different outcome in the last 16 of the Club World Cup, but after extra time they fell to Chelsea (1-4), thus ending their journey in the first edition of the competition in the United States of America. In a game that was interrupted in the 86th minute due to the threat of a thunderstorm and ended almost five hours after the kick-off, Di María leveled the score at 90'+5' (1-1), taking the match into 30 minutes of extra time, during which time the result hung in the balance for the English at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
