INTERVIEW

Ten years ago today, Seferovic scored one of the most important goals of his career. On November 15, 2009, Benfica's number 14 scored the goal that allowed Switzerland to win the U-17 World title.

In an interview granted to BTV, Seferovic remembered when the Swiss squad lifted the trophy, after beating the hosts Nigeria by 1-0 in the World Cup final.

"It was a very good time with the national team. It was a great time for Switzerland. This was the first step for all the players. I transferred to Fiorentina because I wanted to know another country, another reality. Time goes by fast and now I'm happy at Benfica", he stressed.

The forward, who 2018/19 was the Liga NOS top scorer (23 goals) and this year won the award for best Swiss player, talked about the speed of time.

"These ten years have passed quickly. There are always less good times, however, we must always look on the positive side. The negative moments have to be behind your back. Now I'm at Benfica and I'm very happy that these ten years have gone so well", he said.
