Benfica faces Vizela, this Saturday (November 23, at 8:45 pm), in a match from the 4th round of the Portuguese Cup. Bruno Lage foresaw a competent team but assured that the eagles want to re-enter very well in the competitions in which they are inserted.
How has the team been preparing throughout this week for the Portuguese Cup match, knowing that on paper, it will face a weaker opponent?
"The opponent has done a very good campaign in its championship, it is in 1st place and really is a good team, with a good process. They normally play in 4x3x3 and we have in-depth knowledge of their competence, both in offensive and defensive terms. We looked at all the games the same way, and that's what we did."
The Vizela coach said this was an opportunity for the club to make history, given that they will face the National Champions. What does this game mean to you?
"On our side, there can be no room for easiness. Our mentality and focus are the same we presented in the match against Cova da Piedade. To take the game very seriously, because the teams are very competitive and very competent. On the other side is always someone who has that ambition. On our side there has to be maximum responsibility go through in the Portuguese Cup."
