The Benfica coach previewed the match against V. Setúbal at the Estádio do Bonfim.
20 December 2019, 14h56
Bruno Lage
How do you foresee this short trip to face V. Setubal?
We expect a difficult opponent playing at home, very competent and improving its form, as the last results indicate. They have been making a very good recovery, and we have the idea that the game will be very competitive.
Given this demanding game cycle, will you seize the match to launch other players? What can we expect?
We will keep our coherence within what the competitions ahead of us are. All cycles are demanding, especially in this stage of the season because there are a lot of club and national team matches. We will not change anything in the way we face and think about this competition.
This is the last game of 2019. We're talking about a calendar year filled with many good things and great results for Benfica and also for coach Bruno Lage...
Yes, it's been a fantastic year, also unexpected because at the beginning of January I wasn't expecting to join the first team as head coach. It was a good year for us. We won the Championship and the Super Cup, and now we want to finish in the best way and begin 2020 in the same way.
