SL Benfica and Benfica SAD, in a joint initiative with the Lisbon City Hall and the University of Lisbon, gave one million euros for the purchase of medical equipment for the NHS.

STATEMENTS
SL Benfica and Benfica SAD, in a joint initiative with the Lisbon City Hall and the University of Lisbon, decided to donate one million euros for the purchase of medical equipment for the National Health Service (SNS).
On the phone, in statements to BTV, President Luís Filipe Vieira spoke about this important social initiative.
"Our club has always been a people's club and one that is very supportive. At this very difficult time, we felt that this initiative was the best help we could give. Therefore, Sport Lisboa e Benfica and Benfica SAD, in this joint action with the Lisbon City Hall and the University of Lisbon, decided to make a donation of one million euros for the purchase of medical protection equipment that we intend to give to the National Health Service. I hope that this and other initiatives may help all those on the front line who are fighting this terrible pandemic. Your example, your courage is the best hope for us all!", claimed Luís Filipe Vieira.
