Anthony Ireland, the player from Benfica's basketball team, is in the United States, in Connecticut – his hometown – fulfilling the social isolation required by the global pandemic.
"Here in the United States, the situation is very similar to Portugal. We have a kind of curfew, which means we can't go out after 8 pm. As in most of the world, we should only go out to the pharmacy and supermarket.", he told to BTV.
Instinct of permanent concern
"We have a group chat between players and coaching staff. I've been talking more with Betinho, Arnette Hallmann and other American players, but in short, we've been keeping in touch with good mood and sharing the workouts we've been doing. This experience brought us closer. We're all human and we have that instinct to care about each other."
