Bruno Coelho: “I will miss the fans”

Nine seasons representing the futsal team of Sport Lisboa e Benfica, the last three as captain, and 3 National Championships, 3 Portuguese Cups, 3 League Cups, 4 Super Cups later, the farewell. Bruno Coelho will no longer represent the reds next season.

Playing at Benfica

"A dream come true. And I dreamed every day of playing at Benfica. From my room at my parents' house, I could see the roof of the Estádio da Luz and sometimes I wondered if that moment was going to take long to arrive. And I arrived at my beloved club. To see all the fans supporting Benfica, the support is amazing, incredible. The Benfica supporters are amazing."

Experience abroad

" I'm going to France, I'm going to Paris. I'm going to be Ricardinho’s teammate, it'll be nice. I'm very excited and motivated. It's a new project, a new goal and includes the best in the world. It will be spectacular."

Expected longings

"I will miss the fans. We've created an affinity for the club and people which is hard to leave behind. Anyone who knows me knows that I often go to football matches, that I often join the organized groups, I have a lot of friends there, and it's hard to leave them behind, the environment, to stop feeling the passion of the Benfica fans."
