It was with a thrilling comeback that Benfica reached the triumph and the 64 points in the Liga NOS. The eagles beat Rio Ave (1-2), in a match from round 27.

"It was a great match! I've put in a great performance. One year ago it all began against Rio Ave, oddly enough with a comeback, today I felt that, after the goal [of the opponent], after all the setbacks that happened in the first half, I felt that we would win the game, for the courage, the will to play and the way we pressed Rio Ave during the 90 minutes of play. A very important victory that puts us on level terms with FC Porto, with seven rounds to go. I believe a lot in the work we do every day."
