STATEMENTS
Daiane Rodrigues, the 33-year-old defender who represented Benfica's women's football team in the last two seasons, will leave the club. At the time of the farewell, as during her entire spell at the Club, she was grateful for the opportunity to wear the Sacred Mantle.
"It's time to say goodbye. This is where my relationship with Benfica ends. In a moment of sadness, I just have to say thank you. I will stay in Brazil following and cheering you all on. Once a Benfica fan, always a Benfica fan !", praised the decorated player.
After two seasons with an eagle on his chest (2018/19 and 2019/20), 50 matches played and 22 goals scored, Daiane ends her contractual link with the eagles and takes three titles under her belt (2nd Division title, Portuguese Cup and Super Cup).
