International quartet in action with plays for all tastes

Assists, participation in goals and safety transmission! It was a night in which several players from Sport Lisboa e Benfica stood out in the matches of their national teams.

Seferovic delivered an assist and was involved in the last goal from the Swiss national team, on Tuesday, October 13. Switzerland drew 3-all against Germany, in a game from matchday 4 of the Nations League group stage. 

Another player under Jorge Jesus who was in great prominence was Everton. The Benfica winger came on in the second half (70') of the Peru-Brasil – a match from the 2022 World Cup. As described by "Globoesporte", Evertou pulled counter-attacks and participated in the third and fourth goals of the "canarinha" - Brazil won 2-4.

From Peru to Bolivia, where Otamendi was in competitive action. Argentina national team played away and the Benfica central defender played 90 minutes. The "albiceleste" won by 1-2 on matchday 2 of the Qatar World Cup qualifiers, in 2022.

The sports daily "Olé" even wrote that Otamendi "transmitted safety" during the match. Lautaro Martínez and Correa scored the goals.

Darwin also played in the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers. Uruguay suffered a defeat (4-2) against Ecuador, but the Benfica forward only came on in the second half. 

The Uruguayan player put the ball in the back of the, but the goal was disallowed by the VAR. This was the second cap pf the 21-year-old striker.
