Adel Taarabt renewed his contract with Sport Lisboa e Benfica until 2023. The Moroccan international midfielder, who confesses to feeling "rewarded", revealed goals for 2020/21.

"For me, it is a great pleasure to renew my contract with this great club. I think it's a reward for what I did last year", confessed, in statements with BTV, the 31-year-old footballer who arrived at Luz in 2015/16.

"This is a wonderful club with fantastic supporters. It is a great pleasure to represent this club, it is a dream to play here, where I met very good people. Everyone is wonderful. I am very happy to stay for another three years. Here we are all like a family", claimed Adel Taarabt.


"It is a year in which we want to win everything, the Championship, the two Cups and we hope to take the European League journey to the end. That's our dream", revealed the eagles' number 49, who ended with a few words in Portuguese.

"It is a pride to wear this jersey", he said.
