PREVIEW

Jorge Jesus previewed, in a press conference at the Benfica Campus, the clash between SL Benfica and Portimonense, scheduled for this Tuesday, at 6 pm, at Estádio da Luz

Benfica will face Portimonense, the rock bottom team of the Liga NOS after 10 rounds. How is this match being prepared?

Each match has a different way of being prepared because the opponents and their strategies are different. We have been working with the intention and with the confidence to present ourselves on a good level to win, which is the biggest goal, and to reach the rival that is ahead of us, which is Sporting and who already played yesterday [Sunday].

After a defeat, teams want to play again as soon as possible. This match is viewed in an even more important and motivating way, despite being an opponent against whom Benfica does not usually have great problems?

The motivation is always maximum, regardless of the competitions in which we are inserted. The National Championship is the main objective, ours and our rivals'. The win is very important to stay close to the top spot. Despite being in the back of a loss, now will have a match with the importance of the clash with Portimonense. The team will want to play at a higher level to win.

"We have been working with the intention and with the confidence to present ourselves on a good level"

Do you prefer the football that Benfica is playing right now or what you saw at the start of the Championship?

I don't want to make comparisons. What I like the most is that Benfica returns to the level with which it began. We had a strong start, with seven consecutive wins. This is the football I want, and improve it because we are capable of doing that.
