Starter on Benfica's right flank, Diogo Gonçalves put in, just like the team, a great display and scored a stunner (free kick), his first with an eagle on his chest.

"We played a great game, against one of the best teams in the world, with great players. We had the upper hand in the game, but unfortunately, we conceded a goal just before the end. We are frustrated at the moment, but we will look head because this display will give us strength for what is to come", analyzed the player nurtured at Benfica Campus.

"We are frustrated, yes, but already with our heads held high for what is to come. We have the Portuguese Cup and the Championship," claimed Benfica's number 17.

"My goal? I'm simply unhappy about the result, I'd trade the goal for the win. That is the most important thing. The team is above all", stressed Diogo Gonçalves.
