The Italian newspaper "Tuttosport" has released the initial list of 100 players nominated for the 2021 edition of the "Golden Boy". Sport Lisboa e Benfica footballers Gonçalo Ramos and Umaro Embaló are among the chosen players. 

The initial list will be shortened by 20 names each month, and on October 15 the final 20 candidates will be known. The winner will be announced in October at a gala in Turin.

Benfica has already seen two players nurtured at Seixal win the "Golden Boy" award: Renato Sanches in 2016 and João Félix in 2019.
