Conferência de Imprensa de 19 de novembro
The delegation was composed of three elements of SL Benfica, Miguel Reis (Benfica International), Davide Gomes (Youth Football), and Francisco Silveira Ramos (appointed Technical Coordinator, will remain in Mauritius as part of the partnership with the Mauritius Football Association).
The delegation presented Benfica and Benfica Youth Development, with a special focus on the importance of this agreement as it is the first between Benfica and a Football Federation.
Three main objectives were presented:
support the partner in initiation training;
support the development of athletes;
plan and implement the training of coaches.
Finally, Sport Lisboa e Benfica will collaborate in the exchange of athletes and coaches coming from Mauritius, so that they can work at Benfica Campus and experience the Benfica methodology.
BestWay Soccer, SL Benfica's partner and responsible for the liaison with the Mauritius Football Association, stated that Mauritius needed a leading partner in youth development, and Benfica was the obvious choice.
