Sport Lisboa e Benfica informs that it has reached an agreement with União Desportiva de Leiria for the permanent transfer of the athlete João Resende.

The forward has completed six seasons with the eagle on his chest, having started his career at the Club at the Benfica Development and Training Center in Braga.

Throughout his career, he has won the U19 National Championship, the UEFA Youth League and the U20 Intercontinental Cup.

In 2022/23 he played 16 matches, divided between B Team (12), U-23 (3) and U-20 Intercontinental.

As he prepares to take on a new challenge in his career, Sport Lisboa e Benfica wishes João Resende personal and professional success for his future.

Under-23: images from the victory of the 1st Revelação Cup

Coming from a 2-0 victory in the first leg, Benfica U-23s won 2-4 at Torreense on Saturday, May 31, clinching the Revelação Cup, their first title in the competition. Tomás Cruz, Rodrigo Rêgo, who scored twice, and Jelani Trevisan scored the goals for the team led by Vítor Vinha. See here the best images of the red celebration.
