Three gold medals in three events! This was Benfica canoeist Fernando Pimenta's fantastic haul at the Sprint World Cup II in Speed, which took place in Poznan, Poland. On Sunday afternoon, May 26, he won another race: the K1 5000 meters final!

Spectacular! Fernando Pimenta won his second gold medal of the day and his third in the competition by winning the K1 5000 meter final!

With a time of 20:58.14 minutes, the Benfica canoeist beat his closest pursuers by more than 41 seconds. In 2nd place was Sweden's Joakim Lindberg, in 21:39.42 minutes.

Earlier in the morning, Fernando Pimenta had won gold in the K1 1000 meters. The canoeist did the regatta in 3:36.28 minutes, leaving Germany's Jakob Thordsen 2.01 seconds behind with 3:38.29 minutes.Fernando Pimenta

THE 2ND DAY WENT LIKE THIS...

On Saturday, May 25, Fernando Pimenta beat Poland's Slawomir Witczak over the finish line in the K1 500 meters, recording a time of 1:45.29 minutes, and won the gold medal!

The Benfica canoeist returned to the K1 1000-meter race and won series 2 with a time of 3:45.75 minutes, which earned him direct qualification for the final on Sunday, May 26.

THE FIRST DAY WENT LIKE THIS...

In an event that serves as preparation for the Olympic Games in Paris, which will take place between July 26 and August 11, Fernando Pimenta won his K1 500-meter race on Friday, May 24, with a time of 1:51.42 minutes and automatically qualified for the final.
