Zeki Amdouni scored Switzerland's goal against Spain
Assigned to Switzerland's starting eleven against Spain on Matchday 2 of Group A4 of the Nations League (League A), Amdouni was in excellent form in attack for the Swiss. The Benfica forward started by taking a direct free kick in the 25th minute, following the sending off of Le Normand, hitting the crossbar.
In the 41st minute, Amdouni reduced the Swiss deficit to 1-2 with a right-footed finish at the far post from a corner kick. At the start of the second half, he put the ball into the back of the net again, after a deflection off a Spanish defender, but the shot was disallowed for a foul by the Swiss attack.
Despite the Swiss' insistence, the European champions still extended their lead and won 1-4. Amdouni finished the match as the best Swiss player on the pitch, according to the Sofascore platform, with four shots - and another two blocked - 45 touches of the ball and 20 of 23 passes (87% effectiveness).
António Silva was a starter in Portugal's 2-1 win over Scotland on matchday 2 of Group A1 of the Nations League (League A), playing in a central defensive duo with Rúben Dias - also a Benfica Campus graduate - and came close to scoring twice: on 16' and 27'. The two headers in the opposing penalty area took the ball over the bar.
The Benfica central defender's solid display was reflected in 81 touches on the ball, 91% pass accuracy (59 out of 65 attempts), two interceptions and one blocked shot.
On Denmark's right flank, Bah was in fine form in the match against Serbia in Copenhagen, which ended in a 2-0 win for the Nordics on matchday 2 of Group A4 of the Nations League (League A). During the 90 minutes he was on the pitch, the full-back registered 85% correct passes (40 out of 47 attempted), winning 10 of the 14 duels he contested on the pitch. He also succeeded in three of his four dribbles.
Barreiro started and played 90 minutes in Luxembourg's 0-1 home defeat by Belarus on matchday 2 of Group C3 of the Nations League (Liga C). The midfielder touched the ball 79 times, showing a pass accuracy of 87% (58 successful out of 67 attempts), and won five of the 10 duels played: four out of eight on the ground and one out of two in the air.
