DAY 1

Officially announced as Benfica's new signing for the 2025/26 season, Lukebakio arrived at Benfica Campus on Tuesday morning, September 2, and began training with his the eagle on his chest.

The Belgian international forward underwent the usual physical tests, met some of his teammates – returning to work after a day off and without the international players –and was welcomed by coach Bruno Lage, general director for professional football Mário Branco, and technical director Simão Sabrosa.

Signed a contract with Sport Lisboa e Benfica on the evening of September 1, the closing date of the summer transfer window in the 2025/26 Liga Portugal, and the following morning he began working at Benfica Campus. Lukebakio was welcomed by coach Bruno Lage, general director of professional football Mário Branco, technical director Simão Sabrosa, and his new teammates (except, of course, those who are on duty with their respective national teams at this stage of the season).
