Eusébio Cup 2025: extended highlights of the Benfica-Fenerbahçe match (3-2)
More than 55,000 spectators watched Benfica-Fenerbahçe on the night of July 26 at Estádio da Luz. With football and the Red Wave returning to the Cathedral, the Eagles imposed their strength and triumphed 3-2 in the 13th edition of the Eusébio Cup. Aktürkoğlu (37'), Archie Brown (42', own goal), and Henrique Araújo (81') sealed the victory for Bruno Lage's men in the friendly match in preparation for the 2025/26 season.

The excitement at the arrival of the "Vermelhão"
The moment when Benfica's bus parked at Praça Centenarium in Estádio da Luz, in front of the statue of Eusébio, marked the first tribute of the day to the Black Panther. The Vermelhão was warmly welcomed by thousands of Benfica fans, whom the Eagles' players greeted as they left the bus. This beautiful red symbiosis preceded the kickoff of Benfica-Fenerbahçe, the match from the 13th edition of the Eusébio Cup.

Women's Elite Training Camps: always growing
The 6th edition of the Women's Elite Training Camps - which took place from July 20 to 26 at Benfica Campus – was attended by 40 young women between the ages of 12 and 19 from 14 different countries. Coordinator Tiago Silva spoke to BTV about the club's growing reputation. "Women's football continues to grow, we've surpassed the number of nationalities... We're doing a good job, we've raised Benfica's name to more countries," he said. Athletes Natalie Sheffey and Liana Fontes highlighted the fact that they had “learned from the best of the best”. Coach João Ferreira was satisfied: “We managed to apply our training methodology very well.”

Five-time champions can already smell the grass!
The Inspiradoras are back on the pitch! On Friday, July 25, at Benfica Campus, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's women's football team held their first training session of the 2025/26 preseason. This was also the first time that Ivan Baptista, the new coach of the five-time national champions, led a training session as coach of the Eagles. Notably, the integration of several young players from the B team into the senior squad was particularly noteworthy.
