Brace from João Félix and the U-19 won the "clássico"


At Olival, Benfica was stronger than FC Porto and won by 1-2. It is the second win in the two matches in the Championship Round.

Benfica's U-19 team won in the trip to the Centro de Treinos Porto-Gaia, home of FC Porto, by 1-2, in a match of Gameweek 2 of the Championship Round.

Benfica's U-19 team have six points, they are top of the table jointly with SC Braga. In the next round, they will host V. Guimarães.

“We were intelligent”

At the end of the U-19 "clássico", João Tralhão, the Benfica coach, analyzed the match and chose the decisive moment in the comeback.

“First of all, congratulation to FC Porto for going through to the next stage of the Youth League. It is never easy to play away at FC Porto. In the first half, the math was well-balanced; in the second half, FC Porto entered on the front foot and scored. We were intelligent and the first goal was the decisive moment of the match. We ended up being better, we deserved to win”, he said.
