30 players in the start of 2018/19

30 players presented themselves ready for the start of works from the professional team of Sport Lisboa e Benfica this Thursday. After a morning of physical tests and medicals, the ball has already rolled at Estádio da Luz.

It was under the close look and the instructions of Rui Vitória that 28 players stepped into the pitch of the Cathedral in what was the first training session of the 2018/19 preseason.

After the usual warm-up exercises, Bruno Varela, Odysseas, André Ferreira, Svilar, André Almeida, Alex Pinto, Grimaldo, Yuri Ribeiro, Conti, Lema, Luisão, Lisandro, Jardel, Fejsa, Keaton Parks, David Tavares, Chiquinho, Pizzi, Gedson, Cervi, Ola John, Heriberto, Chris Willock, Jonas, Castillo, Ferreyra, João Amaral and João Félix performed a training with ball.

A sample of what you might see on July 7, date in which the Red squad will carry out a training session open to the public. Two days later, Benfica begins what will be the first training camp of the preseason, in Tróia.

Krovinovic and Rafa are still recovering from injuries picked up last season and are under the supervision of the medical department.
